Some trainers are better at training horses, some are better at teaching students. Susan excels at both, and can teach the student to TRAIN the horse. Long on patience, she has a knack for explaining concepts in a way the student can easily understand. Teaching moves at the speed best suited for the horse and the rider, with safety and control as the main goals. Susan is dedicated to helping others be able to relax and enjoy the trails like she has all her life.
CHA Certifications- Trail Guide, lnstructor for English, and Instructor for Western.
Natural Horsemanship Trainer- Using and teaching techniques taught by Chris Cox, John Lyons and Pat Parelli, she understands the horses’ instincts and how to help the horse overcome them.
Gaited Horse Trainer- Specializing in the training of all gaited horse breeds, Susan teaches the proper way to ride and diagnose the special gaits.
28 Years of Experience- Primitive camping with horses in some of the most rugged wilderness throughout the country.

Located in St. Charles, IL, at Evergreen Valley Farm, facilities include an indoor arena, easy trails on the property and a five minute ride to Campton Forest Preserve or the Great Western Trail.
