Our super-smooth, “Gaited” lesson horses are well trained and safe, and our indoor arenas provide year-round riding. All riding levels are welcome!
Susan teaches a “whole horse” approach in her customized program designed to meet the individual needs and desires of each student. Using Natural Horsemanship training techniques, we can help you become an experienced horseman who can handle anything. When your riding ability is proficient, your lessons can include trail riding. We teach you everything you would need to know to own a horse, and can even help you find and purchase the perfect partner to fulfill your dreams of owning your own horse!

Training:


Need help in becoming one with your horse? You may bring your horse in for hourly sessions, or board for an extended stay. Breeds trained are not limited to the Gaited breeds.

Susan instills a foundation of trust and understanding into each horse she works with, using Natural Horsemanship techniques. She believes in training the brain first, and the rest will come easily.

She also believes that each person must establish his or her own pecking order and relationship with the horse, and Susan will teach YOU these techniques for your future success.

Natural Horsemanship employs a simple formula to use in all aspects of riding and training. That is to apply steady pressure on the horse until the horse gives the correct response, then releasing that pressure immediately. The horse learns from the release, not from the pressure.

Susan Brown:

Hourly lessons and training are charged a flat rate of $50 per hour. All sessions are private unless otherwise requested.

Discount for prepaid packages: Get a free lesson with 10 sessions for $450.

Discount for monthly training packages: When training is 5 hrs/wk, hourly rate is cut to $35/hr. Board at Indian Hills is $400/mo. Prorating available.

Trip Fees:  $20/hr for round trip drive time.

Shannon Brown:

Hourly private lessons given at $35/hr.
